This thing will last you nearly a decade of daily use!
I bought my first RTIC mug in 2016 for $11.99. I used this thing faithfully almost every single day. I used it even after a student knocked it out of my hand at dismissal in 2019, putting a dent in the bottom so that it didn’t sit super flat on the table. Eventually I got a handle for it (should have done that at the beginning). This thing keeps my cold stuff cold and hot stuff hot. For the price, it is totally worth it. I wash my mug in the dishwasher, but recently found out you aren’t supposed to do that? Oops. I have noticed over the last few months that it doesn’t hold the cold/hot as long as it used to. So now, after 8 years, I am retiring my original (aka it will stay at work so I can drink water out of it), and buying a replacement for my coffee. I hope the new one is a good as the old one. I use giant 2″ cube ice in this thing, two of those cubes plus roughly 20 ounces of coffee and some milk and its a perfect fit in this 30oz mug.Side note, I somehow ordered 3 during prime day (not sure how that happened), and you do have to pay return shipping if you want to send them back. Luckily my sister will take one, and I guess for the price I will just keep the other one for when I need it in 8 years- not worth sending back for $7 in shipping on a $16 purchase.Don’t hesitate, buy this mug, you will be happy you did. It can totally compete with the more expensive brands out there.

I own two of these. The first one was a gift from my company, an RTIC 20 oz insulated tumbler – stainless steel coffee travel mug with lid with our company logo on it. I have never owned one before.I used it daily, so I went to Amazon and found the same mug and purchased this one.I use them every day for everything I drink!! It keeps the hot beverages hot, and the cold beverages cold for hours!!! The quality of the cup is awesome. It’s a must have whether you’re on the go or staying in one place!!The ONLY negative thing I can say is the lid can chip if you’re clumsy like me and drop it in the driveway! The spill-proof works though!! I ordered a couple of extra replacement lids.You will love this travel mug!!

It’s good. It’s not great.
Ok, I do like this tumbler. It’s not a Yeti, or even a Wally World knock-off. But I like it fine.The problem is, it doesn’t live up to it’s billing. It takes using it for a loaded-with-ice-and-not-drinking-the-contents day and then doing it again to reach its advertised keeping period, and that is not how one uses a tumbler. I only know this because I did a test, which it failed, in that the ice in the tumbler melted, even though I’d prepped the tumbler with cold water, within 6 hours. However, I became very sick, so I used it to hold Sprite over ice, which I had a hard time drinking. The first batch remained cold overnight. I emptied the tumbler and refilled this now very cold tumbler with ice and Sprite. It now kept a few ice chips until the next morning.So, I consider it a decent mug, especially if you continue using it day after day without letting it warm up, at keeping things cold. My hot test did not fare well, by the way. Coffee was lukewarm at 4 hours, although I pre-warmed the tumbler with 130-degree water. That was a true shame, as that was my original purpose for buying the thing. I need that much coffee to crank the engine. Remove the drip plate and slide the Keurig out over the edge of the k-cup drawer and this fits underneath! Holds a lotta joe!Additionally, the lid doesn’t fit very well. It’s mildly too large for the mouth of the tumbler, so it sits a smidge too high, with the rubber seal exposed. It’s very tight and I really have to press to get it sealed. I wonder how much effect that has on the thermal abilities of the product. It does not come with a straw, and there are drinking and venting holes in the lid, no cover, so those will also reduce the holding capabilities. Just my thoughts. I bought straws at the aforementioned Wally World just because I enjoy them. Not sure how much impact they have, but I doubt it’s that much.One concern: those open holes in the lid do open it up to spillage, and yes, I’ve tipped it already accidentally (I’m a true klutz). It did create spillage, cussing, and some limited relief when the mess wasn’t terribly bad. It was bad enough, though. Harrumph. I did purchase another brand with a sliding cover at about the same time, which I now prefer for that very reason. I already posted a review on it.Luckily, I was able to snag a Thanksgiving weekend deal on the price, so I didn’t pay full price, and for the money, I think it’s a pretty good value, especially compared with the real Yeti.
