Bought for my husband and my FIL liked it so much we also go it for him.
My husband likes bourbon and has bought some very nice bottles. I thought this would be a nice way to show some of those off. It works perfectly. The woodwork is excellent and the glass container is thick enough that I am not worried it will break. The glass topper just sits in the top and does not seal. This is not an issue because I don’t see the glass going anywhere because the wood holds it nicely in place. I loved this one in particular because you do not have to pick up the entire thing to fill a glass. You simply move the handle on the front. I do wish there was a little inset in the wood on the bottom front for the glasses. The wood is straight across so the glass sits a little further out than comfortable when filling a glass. It’s a great value for the money and wonderful way to add pizzazz to a bar. My husband’s Dad liked it so much we bought him one for his own bar.

Great decanter
Bought this because I got tired of my other decanters always dripping after a pour; so far, I love it. Assembly was easy, I just gave the wood a polish with some Pledge before assembling, and another wipedown afterwards. The bottle looks very nice, whether it’s half full with a normal 750mL bottle, or completely full at 1200mL.Pouring is as easy as it seems, just remember to lift the topper before opening the spigot to allow air in, otherwise the pour is very, very slow due to lack of air exchange between the liquid and bottle. Just a few drops come out after you close the spigot, so let your glass stay in place for a few seconds afterwards and you won’t have to wipe anything up.Overall very pleased with this, 5 stars all around

This decanter is gorgeous. It arrived early and was packaged extremely well.I was worried the glass would be too thin or the wood would be flimsy, no such issues with any of my concerns. The glass decanter is solid and formed with craftsmanship. The wooden display cradle fits together snugly and is a wonderful compliment to the piece. The tap that attaches to the bottom of the tank is solid, and I do mean solid, stainless steel and beautifully accents the overall look.Now we come to the crystal ship inside. Stunning. It appears delicate and mighty at the same time, truly something to behold. Add your favorite libation and it’s a booze cruise in a bottle.It’s hard to tell in my photo, but we placed a LED nightlight on the backside of the unit so it shines upward and illuminates the sea of whiskey and the ship that will forever sail upon it. AHOY!This is a perfect gift or addition to your bar, or even on one of your bookshelves.It’s worth every penny and the compliments keep coming.5 Stars!

What a perfect decanter for your favorite liquors
After reading the reviews and looking at all the pictures, I decide to purchase this unit, it came very well, packaged, and on time!I opened the package and read the directions in full before I assembled, the joints are all compression fitted meaning. You really donât want to take it apart after you push and assemble the wood frame before I added the glass canister. I rubbed a little coat of lemon oil on it, bringing the beautiful wood to a nice luster! I very carefully assembled the spout into the glass canister. Make sure you push it in straight. Youâve only got one shot!After assembly and letting the lemon oil dry, I added a whole bottle of black label whiskey very happy with this product. It looks great on our bar and is actually fun to use. I would highly recommend purchasing one or two of these items youâll be glad you did!

Have had decanter set for a couple weeks now. The ship has been totally “sunken” then “dry docked” a couple times. It looks great up on my bar and works perfectly. There has been concerns about the cork being too tight not letting air pass to allow flow of spirits, no problem here loosen and pours perfectly. It is great and i am very pleases so far with the decanter and glasses.
