It’s thin with no back – more of a dust cover than a full cover for rain
I really expected this cover to be heavier and thicker since it is advertised for outdoor use as waterproof. The third photo describes it as âhigh density 420D thickâ for ârobustâ protection, the last photo states it is a â420D polyesterâ with a âUV coatingâ, and the description states it is âHeavy Duty 420D thick Oxford fabricâ. Oxford fabric and polyester are not the same. In my opinion, the photos give it an appearance of being heavier than it is in person. Itâs a thin nylon with a silver mylar looking lining. Also, since no photos show the back of the cover, I assumed it was more than just the two buckle straps leaving the whole back exposed. This cover suits my purpose of having a dust cover for a washer temporarily in inside storage and also fit my budget for just $18.99. I could also see the cover being used outdoor but under shelter, however, the photos show it just sitting out in the weather and I donât feel itâs totally advertised accurately for that type of outdoor use.

About 19 bucks a piece. Covers a washer. Only issue was the console cover flaps in the wind
The only issue I have with it is there is no way to tighten the part that covers the console to keep it from being loose and flapping in the wind at the back of the machine. This test is being done outside in the elements as a temporary solution to a problem of a laundry room in a basement, a disabled leg, and waiting on the construction of a first floor laundry to accommodate a the long term disability.The cover is needed to attempt to keep the outside elements out of the washer and its parts.The cover does is open in the back with two bungee like straps that clip together and have adjusters to tighten them. It is silver kinda like mylar on the inside. The big question is this gonna mold up real quick or is it gonna dry effectively to prevent mold or mildew?Will have to update later on in the season.
