look. i tried to grow a giant set of man hands, but was unable. these gloves are HUGE, but they work so well! you can pick almost anything up, i use these with my cast iron skillet all the time.easily washable, they are so damn durable too – i once dropped one onto my hot oven floor – nothing happened, except for an anguished and undignified shriek from me.go ahead and gift these to someone. if they don’t truly appreciate the gloves, march over to their house and take them back. let them burn their hands with lowly cloth oven mitts.

After 20+ years of yeoman’s duties, I had to replace my silicon oven mitts. Most I saw had far too much cloth at the wrist and were too short. For taking my dutch ovens out I would have charred/destroyed them in a week.These are long and in two uses have been very comfortable to use. There is a small band of cloth but it’s far enough up my forearm that It isn’t part of the mitt.
