Easy and Fun!
We’ve been using our shaved ice maker to make Bingsu at home. The ice shaver works wonderfully, and we’ve really enjoyed our Bingsu creations.

My Summer BBQs Had the Perfect Desserts Thanks to This Ice Shaver
I bought this ice shaver for one purpose – to make Halo Halo. If you’re not familiar with Filipino desserts this is made with candied fruit, beans, coconut ribbons, evaporated milk, and lots and lots of shaved ice (if you’re familiar with Korean desserts it’s pretty much the predecessor of a Bing-Soo). I’ve had ice shavers in the past, but they usually require to freezing water in a mold that is unique to the system. This shaver work directly with ice cubes from your freezer! I know there are other so-called shavers on the market, I’ve even tried some, but they do not shave the ice like the JoyMech, they usually end up crushing it. The JoyMech shaves the ice and makes it almost as fluffy as snow. I put a tumbler of cubes through the machine and got a heaping soup-bowl of ice the first try! That first bowl of Halo-Halo was awesome! Also, because it is rechargeable, I wasn’t limited to the kitchen. This summer we took it out back during our BBQs to make Halo-Halo on the picnic tables – it was a straight up success!I’m so happy I bought this ice shaver, I’m thinking when restrictions at work get lifted and we start doing pot-lucks again I might bring this little gem along for more Halo-Halo! Disassembly is a piece of cake, but really how much cleaning is necessary if you’re just pushing ice cubes through it. The only thing that might be awkward for some is that the chute the shaved ice comes out of is a little low so you’ll have to collect it in a low-lipped bowl or plate.

Easy use. Compact
It was fluffy ice as long as it was a block of ice. Was a breeze to clean and wasn’t too complicated to disassemble or assemble for clean up. My only thing is that you need to recharge. But I kept it plugged in so it wouldn’t die. Made a Filipino dessert with it called halo halo. Best result of shaved ice I’ve had in years.

Refreshing
I love it!!! Itâs so cool and refreshing!!! Makes wonderful snowcones in no time. Iâm disabled and it was still easy for me to turn and make snow. Which I had to stop eating or I didnât have any leftover for my snow cone.

Stopped working after six months
This machine worked great at first. It was convenient to be able to charge it up and then take it anywhere to use. We got it at Christmas and by our first summer itâs already not working. It acts like itâs fully charged and then wonât turn on or if you can get it to turn on it only works for 30 seconds then shuts off again and acts like it needs to be charged. The rechargeable battery in it must be shot. Thankfully I only paid $30 on sale but still not worth it for only 6 months of use.

Great little hand crank machine
Perfect for making two shave ice treats. Fast and easy to use. Best part, no motor to break down. Comes with three containers with lids for making the ice. We make extra and store the ice in a ziplock gallon bag for a steady supply. Would like to know where to get replacement blades as they inevitably will dull.

Adequate machine but not an ice shaver.
This product claims to be an ice shaver. But does not shave ice it gives you ice for a snow cone only. If that is what you want, it works perfectly. I love the fact that you can use it wirelessly as it is awesome to take on camping trips. I also liked the fact that it comes with a scraper to keep the shoot clean as you are crushing ice.

Kids are loving this!
Got my 10 year old this ice shaver for Christmas, and it still get regular use! I like that itâs not electric so thereâs no motor to burn out, and he can operate it safely by himself and whip up snow cones for the whole family in minutes! Impressive little machine!

Donât waste your money on this.Great idea in concept. Very poorly executed. I didnât even get a use out of it as it worked for less than a second and that was it.To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. And only had a two week window to return. Unfortunately didnât use it in that time as we lost a 15 year old dog who was our life. It wasnât high on the priority list unfortunately.I repeat. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK. ITS A WASTE OF MONEY. YOU MAY AS WELL TOSS YOUR CASH IN THE GARBAGE.

Easy to make shaved ice desserts with this. Just need to figure out when its low battery, because sometimes it doesn’t start/hard to start when its battery is low

Brand new out of the box and it didn’t work for even a fraction of a second. No return policy whatsoever! We are out $60 with this complete pile of garbage.
