UPDATED REVIEW 5/15/24 TO: It Works and doesn’t work
*UPDATED REVIEW 5/15/24* After writing my review someone from Barsys reached out to me with tips to get my coaster working correctly. After the tips did not yeild any differet results the rep asked if I would like a new one. This was Saturday 5/13/24 and the new one arrived today free of charge. I just tested it with 6 different drinks and they are all perfect. 2oz is now 2oz for my Gin & Tonic. Buy this coaster it is well worth it. My home bar is now perfect.* It connects to bluetooth easily, lights work and you can make a drink. However the measurements are not even close. For example, first drink I made was a gin and tonic, simple enough. The Gin portion in the app states 59.14 ml of Gin which is equal to 2 oz, but it didn’t turn green until after 6 oz were poured. So I sat the Gin aside and tried drinks with just using water. Every one I tried including the Gin & Tonic multiple times were off by alot. For me it doesn’t nee to be 100% accurate but it must be closer then what it currently is.With the new Bar 360 delayed once again now I see why. The Bar 360 uses the coaster 2 but pours the liquids automatically. At least with the coaster only you can stop pouring.

So far a great product works as advertised. Unlike most of the time making drinks I could never get the same taste but now with the coaster every drink tastes identical. Easy to use and actually kinda fun

UPDATE: After writing this review, the makers of Barsys reached out and scheduled a call with us. Not sure if they listened to feedback or it was just timing but an app update came out shortly after. Had to uninstall and reinstall the app on our Android phone but now, using the new cocktail maker app, it works flawlessly. The amount of recipes seem promising and it pours a good drink!I purchased this as a gift for father’s day. First issue was that it did not come with a high-powered charging brick. Luckily, we had one. Second issue, my husband’s phone wouldn’t connect to the coaster. Found it did not support the phone’s older BT connection. A newer phone was able to connect somewhat. At first it seemed to work. Then, third issue, after an ingredient was added or even placing the glass, the app would crash or connection was lost. We continued to try and were able to successfully make about 3 drinks at different times but dealing with its connection issues is so frustrating, it makes us want to drink more. Fourth issue, my husband has tried reaching out to their support multiple times with no response. Our Amazon return window has closed so I’m hoping by posting this, someone will contact us and make good on this item’s warranty. It has not worked correctly since the beginning..

Great Premise, App Updates Can Improve it even more
The premise of this device is really exciting. But there are still a few bugs that need to be worked out. These could be addressed with app updates.My first two drinks did not come out well. I watched the app instead of the coaster and that is not how it works. I ended up with double the first ingredient and none of the second. The app lags the coaster. The lights on the coaster are what you need to watch.After I practiced a few times with water I was able to get good with it.Hints:- Watch the Ring on the coaster when you are pouring, not the app!- Slow your pour when the ring is three quarters Blue.- Once it flashes green, stop pouring and look back at the app to see the next ingredient.- Practice with water first. Make at least 5 drinks.Upgrades I would like:- I’d really like a Slider bar in the recipe screen to make it really easy to adjust the size of the drink. Like making a double for example. As far as I can tell right now, I have to adjust each ingredient separately. It would be very nice to do it in one click.- The app should show how much liquid you have added each time you pour along with a running total. And keep a history. If you make a good drink and it’s a bit different it would be cool to go see what you made (or at least the amounts).- Include a USB Standard to USB C cable. C to C is not convenient for most users. People have wall outlets with standard USB.- Add a training section to the app to get users used to using the Coaster.Overall this is a fun device. I was frustrated and disappointed at first but once I figured it out, it was fun. A few app updates could take this from 4 to 5 stars. This will be pretty fun at parties.

When this lights up it’s so cool, looks like a thing off the movie tron. Lol. I just received my coaster made a few drinks with it. It takes a little practice to get that pour, when it turns green, you got to be quick. Overall, I really like this gadget I see lot of good things in the future to make it even better like adding Alexa that would be cool lol. The app is messing with me. I don’t know if it’s me or the app, but it keeps crashing or not working. This app is the brain of this hole thing, anyways looks cool in my min bar. It’s a keeper.
